Orphan & Widows Project of Zimbabwe, Africa
Orphans & Widows Project
The men own all of the land. Many of the men die from HIV/AIDS. It is estimated that 70% of the marriages in Zimbabwe are not registered with the government. When a woman's husband dies the in-laws takes the land back and the woman and children no longer has a home to stay in. As she grieves for her husband and the loss of the children’s' father she has to find an income for herself.

You change the lives of generations when you help the Widows and Orphans. The orphans can get an education and learn how to support themselves as adults.

Be an Empowerment Champion and give the Widows and Orphans a "Hand-up" instead of just a "Hand-out". Your help gives hope and reduces their suffering.

Our mission is recorded in Matthew 25:31-46 (NIV):To evangelize and disciple the young and old widows and orphans and "teach them all that God has taught us".

Orphans Project
We pray for the orphans and support them financially. Many of them lose their parents to COVID, HIV/AIDS, and TB. If the children do not have a registered birth certificate they can not attend school. they either live with their extended family and are like servants to the household. They may also have health conditions.

Widows Project
As we pray for the widows we provide them with chickens and eggs for protein, an essential building block for a strong body. The chickens and eggs are also sold to provide an income. When the widows get enough chickens, they provide some of them to another widow so she can prosper too. We are encouraging empowerment and a better life for the widows and orphans through this micro-enterprise.

Vision & Relief
The Corona 19 Delta variant has infected 4 people, so they are on lockdown. We temporarily closed the clinic on the first of August 2021.
We have a multi-year plan to empower the village to support themselves and their projects. The plan is to make the village self-reliant and to buy 100-layer chicken and 100 broiler chickens for selling. We also bought a grinder for the corn to make maize. So far, we have provided them with chickens to lay eggs.

Clean Water
This is just a important as food. No longer is filthy water, the source of typhoid and other water borne diseases, where these women and children has to drink. Clean water for drinking, cooking and hygiene is readily available. You helped us drill deep wells. Most water wells in Zimbabwe are shallow boreholes that are easily contaminated. We supply 2,800 gallons of safe water every day for over 300 people. The water will also fill a man made pond for fish. This gives them another cash product to help them become self-reliant.

Micro-Enterprise
We supply peas, corn for meal, chickens, and eggs for nutrition and to sell for profit to become self sufficient. One chicken can lay more than 300 protein-rick eggs per year. The families can sell the surplus to earn money for necessities. The peas will feed the chicken. A pond will be dug and supplied with fish. The droppings from the chicken will feed the fish. The people will have fish, corn, chicken, and eggs to sell at the market.

Medical Clinic
Lots of prayer and finances built this clinic. In 2023 the people should be able to support themselves and the Medical-Dental Clinic. Everyone in the village has access to it. Thanks to you and your generous support. Life expectancy is improving, fewer water-borne diseases, and preventive disease teaching is a part of the clinic. We supply antibiotics, anti-parasitic, and other essential pharmaceuticals and medical supplies. Our prayers make a difference. They will sell the farm products to support the Medical-Dental Clinic, employee salaries, building maintenance, and the pastor’s salaries. Intercessors pray for their physical needs and for their salvation. Let's keep the prayers going!
