Jesus taught the disciples to pray

Luke 11:1 One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples."

Intercessory prayer is when we pray for others. Jesus prayed for us and His disciples in John 17:1-26. Jesus had a very active prayer life, getting up early to pray.
